It’s World Environment Day: Take the plastic purge challenge
Happy World Environment Day all!
Doesn’t it seem like the perfect day to kick off the 28-day plastic purge challenge?
The plastic purge challenge (see info graphic below) was doing the rounds a few of years ago and was initiated by the environmental news site, EcoWatch, but it’s still just as relevant today.
Awareness about the global plastic waste crisis is certainly on the rise and many individuals are rethinking their use of single use plastics.
You may already have kicked your own takeaway coffee cup and plastic water bottle habits, but now it’s time to take things up a notch.
Given it’s World Environment Day, it’s worth taking a look at your current habits and identify areas of improvement.
Have you started making your own beauty products or sourced products in glass jars in order to eliminate plastic packing from your bathroom?
While the challenge of combating climate change is never far from most eco warriors’ minds, World Environment Day hopefully serves as a reminder to the wider population that we must do all we can to reduce the amount of plastic ending up in our oceans.
Why not encourage your friends and family to take the 28-day plastic purge challenge today?
